01Scope and features
These terms apply to use of CopyPen.
The app provides text storage, organization, copying, widget and keyboard access, optional sync, sharing and external-app integrations.
Please review these terms before use.
Minors should obtain a legal guardian's consent where required.
02License and your content
You receive a non-exclusive right to use the app on supported devices for personal and business purposes.
Ownership of your saved text does not transfer to the operator.
You must have the necessary rights to enter and share information and respect personal information and third-party rights.
Rights in the app's software, images and other assets belong to the operator or their respective rights holders.
03Prohibited conduct
You must not use the app unlawfully, infringe others' rights or privacy, engage in unauthorized access or harassment, improperly bypass purchase restrictions or security features, or interfere with providing the app.
This does not prohibit acts permitted by applicable law.
04Copying, integrations and AI
Check copied text, expanded variables, sharing destinations, launch targets and recipients.
Edits made with the one-time editing feature apply to that operation and are not saved to the original note.
URL schemes and shortcuts may stop working because of changes in other apps, installation status or login state.
Passing text may initiate sending or searching, depending on the receiving app.
External services have their own terms and may charge fees.
CopyPen does not guarantee the accuracy or legality of AI responses.
05Free features and Pro
Free features have usage limits and ads.
The currently offered Pro product is a one-time in-app purchase, not an auto-renewing subscription.
Check the app and App Store at purchase for price, taxes and included features.
Payments, restoration and refunds follow Apple's systems and conditions.
Paid features may become unavailable if a purchase is revoked, for example following a refund.
A one-time purchase does not guarantee compatibility with every future OS or device, or indefinite service provision.
This does not limit statutory consumer rights.
06Storage, sync and data management
Notes are stored on your device; iCloud sync is optional.
Sync delays or conflicts, device failure or mistakes may produce an unexpected state.
Back up important information separately and check before deleting or sharing.
The app is not a dedicated password vault.
The Privacy Policy describes information handling in detail.
07Changes, discontinuation and responsibility
The operator may change the app for improvements, security, legal changes or changes in external services.
Except in emergencies, the operator will strive to provide reasonable advance notice of significant changes or discontinuation.
Uninterrupted or error-free operation in every environment is not guaranteed; responsibility is determined by applicable law.
Liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence or other liability that mandatory consumer law does not allow to be excluded is not waived.
08Changes to terms, governing law and contact
Changes to these terms and their effective date will be announced in the app or on the website and implemented under applicable law.
Japanese law generally governs, without excluding mandatory consumer protections applicable in your place of residence.
Disputes are handled by courts with jurisdiction under applicable law.
