01Scope
This policy applies to the CopyPen app and this support website.
The app has no separate account registration and no feature that collects or stores your notes or clipboard content on a backend managed by the operator.
Optional iCloud sync, advertising, purchases, integrations and support involve the processing described below.
02Information on your device
The app stores note titles and bodies, folders, pins, variable values, app and shortcut launch settings, creation and update dates, trashed notes, deletion records and app settings.
It reads and displays the current clipboard text at times such as when you open the app.
It does not continuously monitor the clipboard in the background or automatically save a clipboard history.
Days on which you copy and review-request dates are stored locally to control review-request frequency.
The operator does not sell this information or use it for ad targeting.
03iCloud sync and backups
iCloud sync is off by default.
If enabled in Settings, notes, trash, folders, variable values, launch settings, update dates and deletion records sync through your own iCloud Drive.
Eligibility requirements, including Pro purchase status, apply.
Sync does not pass through the operator's server.
Turning sync off does not automatically delete data already in iCloud.
Device and iCloud backups also depend on your Apple settings.
04Widgets, keyboard, notifications and lock
Notes are also stored in the shared container used by the app, its widget and its keyboard.
To use notes from the keyboard, enable the feature in the app and add the keyboard in iOS Settings.
The keyboard does not request Full Access or record or transmit text you type in other apps.
A selected note is passed to the app where you insert it.
Widgets and enabled copy notifications may display note content.
The app lock does not hide text already copied or shared, or every display outside the app.
iOS handles Face ID, Touch ID and passcode authentication; the operator does not receive biometric data or your passcode.
05Sharing, external apps and AI
When you share, run an action after copying or insert text with the keyboard, the selected text or other selected information is passed to the destination.
When passing text is enabled, the text may be included in URL parameters or shortcut input.
The receiving app may immediately run a question, search or other action, depending on its behavior.
Storage, use and training involving content sent to AI are governed by the receiving service's terms and account settings.
Exported files include note text and launch settings.
Variable configuration values are not exported as a separate field, but information written in the note body is shared.
Check the content and destination before including confidential information.
06Purchases and advertising
Purchases and restoration use Apple's App Store and StoreKit; purchase status and transaction information are checked on the device.
The operator does not receive credit card numbers.
The free version displays Google AdMob ads.
Ad personalization and the publisher first-party ID are disabled, and the app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.
The ad SDK may still process IP addresses, approximate location derived from IP, device and app identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, and crash or performance information for delivery, fraud prevention, measurement and diagnostics.
The app does not include note text or variable values in ad requests.
Pro does not display ads.
No separate analytics SDK is integrated.
07Support and this website
Support emails involve processing your sender address, message and attachments to reply and investigate.
Information is retained as needed for support or legal requirements and deleted when no longer necessary.
Cloudflare delivers this website and may process your IP address, access time, requested URL and browser information for delivery and security.
We do not place our own advertising or analytics tags on this website.
08Deletion and choices
Moving a note to Trash does not erase its text.
Delete it from Trash to permanently remove it.
Deletion information also syncs when sync is enabled, but changes may take time to appear.
You can stop sync, disable keyboard use and change notification permissions in the relevant settings.
Uninstalling the app does not collectively delete iCloud data, backups, exported files or data in copy and sharing destinations.
Manage these through Apple or the receiving service as needed.
For support information held by the operator, requests for access, correction or deletion can be sent to the address below and will be handled under applicable law.
For information stored by third-party services, also contact those providers.
09Security, changes and contact
Use a device lock, keep your OS updated and back up important text separately.
Sync and external services may process information in other countries under their providers' policies.
Policy changes will update the date on this page; material changes will be announced in the app or on the website.
Publishing a policy does not replace consent where consent is legally required.
